All of our Dolls are completly handmade from authentic molds. They are hand
painted. using the same paints, colors, and even the same "hair"
paint brushes used over 100 years ago. the majority of our wigs are human hair
and mohair, styled to duplicate the hairdos of the originals. the majority of
our Doll costumes are handsewn and our costume makers use the same materials
used in the original clothing and styles.
Our doll bodies are constructed much the same as the early ones. We of course
use much stronger and longer lastimg fabrics, and our arms and shoulderplates
are also made from authentic molds. We specialize in the French "Super
Star Dolls" of Bru, Jumeau, Gaultier, Marque,Halopeau, Delcroix, Thuillier
and Rohmer.
From Portrait to Fashion. We include some of the rarer French Dolls. We also have a wide variety of Antique Dolls which we will have available in the near future.
The original antique Super Star Dolls range in price from approximately
$10,000 to $250,000, when they can be found. Replicas range in price from
approximately $950 to $2,500.
Our prices sell for much less - $295 to $1,500! Some of our artists have had
over 50 years of experience, and sometimes take over a month to complete one
